With this knowledge, we couldn’t just sit still! We had to take action. We started by researching and asking the cafes and restaurants we frequented. We attended events and observed. We couldn’t find the reusable, easily recyclable cups and food containers that fit our vision of a circular economy. So, we rolled up our sleeves and founded Refresh.
Knowing that the resources we consume are limited, we aimed to build the future today. Instead of the use-and-dispose model, we implemented a system of reuse, return, and repeat.
This is how our motto “reduce, reuse, and repeat” and the hashtag #refreshthefuture came to be.
It’s high time we stopped using the seemingly harmless options that often end up in landfills, simply because we thought there were no alternatives.
At this point, we say #refreshyourroutines with a system of reusable, easily recyclable products.

The foundation of “Refresh” was laid by two university students on a cool September afternoon in the campus cafeteria! While discussing environmental issues, we noticed the single-use food and drink containers left behind by students rushing to class or enjoying conversations with friends. We wondered, where does all this waste go? We sadly discovered that most of it ends up in landfills, with only a small portion being recyclable. Even then, improper sorting often renders these materials non-recyclable. The remaining waste is either buried or incinerated, causing further environmental harm.
